In motorcycles, a "basket case" refers to a bike that's all there, but comes as a collection of parts in containers. This 1964 Aston Martin DB5 is exactly that, a project for the next owner conveniently pre-disassembled and ready for restoration. The car was originally retained by Aston's sales department before being sold to its first owner in Scotland. It then passed to another Scottish owner before moving to Germany in 1976. That owner sent the car off for a full restoration — and then the company went under before it could be finished. Mr. Ebinger got the car back in pieces and put it in storage, exactly how it appears today. This DB5 is all there, albeit in meticulously labeled containers, giving the next owner something to work on.
